5.04 - Birthmarks
When House receives word that his father has passed away, he brushes off the news and dismisses the idea of going to the funeral. However, he is soon coerced into going despite his strongest pro-*test*-('")s. Back at Princeton-Plainsboro, the team encounters the case of a young woman adopted by American parents who collapsed while in China looking for her birth parents. With House en route to his father's funeral, he must work with the team to diagnose the woman via cell phone while on the road. The team runs through possible diagnoses and various genetic disorders, but when House's phone dies, the team must decipher what House was trying to tell them before the girl's condition deteriorates. Holy crap. I am completely convinced now that hwshipper really is David Shore or that she is completely and utterly psychic. And I loved this episode.

Holy crap. I am completely convinced now that hwshipper really is David Shore or that she is completely and utterly psychic.Explain plz. Also. YAY!!!

fffaw- 10-14-2008

In hwshipper's stories, she completely nailed so many of the plot points in the episode and she did it months ago. If you haven't read her fics, run, don't walk to her LJ.

Bedawyn- 10-14-2008

Okay, Chase and the cookie line was great. It was also the only part of this episode that I haven't read in fanfic weeks or months ago.

Okay...House's smile when House wakes up when Wilson says he's not doing it for House, but for his mom was made of win. As was Wilson saying he was the girl (at the diner). And House stating what Wilson was afraid of...it needed to be said and so true. And yay. Yay, yay, yay. I have to go make dinner, but yay. And yay again. And since it hasn't aired yet on the west coast (I watched it online), I get to watch it again in two hours. Woohoo. The boys are back (which is mainly why I love this show...hated it when they were on the outs).

xxvickyy- 10-14-2008

omg that plotline on how wilson & house met was vaguely (well maybe not so vague) to a fanfiction I read and adored. inspired by a hwshipper? (=

LightMyCandle- 10-14-2008

Can't. Stop. Grinning. Can't. Stop. :D :D God, that was amazing. That fight at the funeral parlor was wonderful, as was the diner scene, and of course the last scene. My boys are back together. All is right with the world. Oh and House's smile when he woke up and saw Wilson? Utterly adorable, even though I really wish they hadn't had drugged him.

Chipmunk_love- 10-14-2008

This was amazing. This was.... amazing. I loved every single second of this. Even Cuddy and Wilson drugging House -- amazing. And Lully may also be David Shore because if you check the personal canon thread, she also totally called Dancing Queen being House's ringtone for Wilson. And even if it was crap at the time, House kissing his dad? That was good, especially given his reaction at the end. Forget DEC, this was the gayest episode ever. Ever. OMG. Ever.

In hwshipper's stories, she completely nailed so many of the plot points in the episode and she did it months ago. If you haven't read her fics, run, don't walk to her LJ. She clearly had a script - the dialogue and events are exact - no way that was a coincidence. Such a great episode!!!! I was thinking it would be lame after the opening and that stupid drugging House plot ... but after House dropped the flashlight in the gutter and Wilson pulled out the other, it took off! I was dying with laughter, and was actually impressed by the medical twist, until that thing about the nail on the addiction center - a bit much. Everything about that episode was so awesome in the latter half. I thought House was really crying and I was like "oh please no" and then he took the hair(was that what it was?) and I just died! So good!

OMG, I'm beginning to think I ship H/W now, lol. What a great episode.

NekoCat- 10-14-2008

Wilson was married during med school, and met House after it. We were right: neither of the timelines are right! Assuming Wilson is 39, and he finished med school at 25ish, then they've known each other around 14 years. Give or take, depending on how much of genius Wilson was. House's father not being his biological father was actually a pretty cool twist. And House's, "Wilson....my dad's dead" at the end was nice. This episode was perfect. I loved the Kutner stuff, and Chase and Cameron showed up. And Chase was scruffy. I am immensely satisfied.

radiosweetheart- 10-14-2008

Guess I'll have to break my fanfic sabbatical, then. Since I haven't been reading fanfic for over a year I didn't see any of that coming. What I did see was an aMAZing episode of House that I love.

olivia720- 10-14-2008

Lots of insane stuff tonight. Love seeing H/W back together. But the gay vibe was pretty high! Watching the antics was fun. They're so cute together. The last scene was the best and so sincere. "my dad is dead". Sad. Glad they went off and had a meal together.

OMG, I'm beginning to think I ship H/W now, lol. What a great episode. Haha Ive always enjoyed H/W fics, but loved H/Cu as well, and didn't believe for a minute that House and Wilson would end up gay on the show - but after this ep, it was just so gay - and perfect!
