I'll think of more to say later, but the PI mini-arc was totally worth anything to watch Hugh Laurie play the blues with Artur Rubenstein's grandson.

Taub! Don't tell her!!!!!!!!!!!
I actually like Taub so I was interested to see more about him. Mrs. Taub is cute. I wish House hadn't played with Taub's head so much though. Unnecessary, IMHO.
A bezor? Gross but classic for the line "And that's why I won't let Cameron have a cat."

That was fun. Nice that they got the right diagnosis but the wrong reason rather than have a whole lot of wrong diagnoses like usual. House seemed to be enjoying himself, which is always pleasant.
Wish Taub hadn't decided to be honest. I liked the possibility of his marriage being what he pretended it was. But I can't understand the need for a car that cost more than my house.
The end scene was pretty nfity.
Needs more Kutner.

I had no idea! I was wondering if he really knew how to play the piano - I guess so, eh?

That was a beautiful thing. I wished it could have gone on through the end credits.

I loved the PI/Cuddy interactions, because it related back to House/Cuddy. I loved the line "I've been negotiating with her for half my life" because it makes me happy for my own timeline reasons. And House the cheerleader!!! Oh, that photo was so doctored, but I thought Lucas got it right on: "You wanted her to see you in a different light..."
I missed Wilson, but not as much as I thought I would. Can't wait for two weeks from now.
Peter Jacobson was so amazing tonight. Words can't express how in love with Taub I am right now. There's so much more to him than we ever thought -- now that's the epitome of mysteriousness.
Kutner rocked my world.
And I will forever be taking, "I just wanted to screw with House" out of context.
This episode was so much better than I thought it would be.

I do like to see House having fun, but is it wrong of me to be upset that he is having fun without Wilson?
I liked Taub in this, but I too wish he'd keep his mouth shut.
Mr. Sprinkles is fun. And I'm finding him cuter with each passing epi, but part of me still wants to scream "USURPER!" everytime he is with House.

I'm shipping Cuddy and the P.I. So hard.
WTF?

It's a good thing, I swear to you!! Cuddy needs to be happy. :D

I know it's blasphemy to say this here, but I want the PI to replace Wilson. He's so much fun, and the actor is great.

Indeed - I think she needs to get her some Mr. Sprinkles action for real!

It's funny watching this after reading the Bitterness thread. C&C situation answered. And Taub finally got his episode. I, too, wish he hadn't told his wife. It seemed like he really repented, though the way he was flirting with Amber during the Survivor arc, maybe not. Anyway, this episode gave me more to think about, which is to the good. Less good was the side-plot about Lucas and Cuddy. (A), it's not credible IMO, and (B) I don't think I'll ever forgive them for the cheerleader thing. Hope I'm not insulting anyone here but no. Just NO.

So Kutner's in the Guinness Book of World Records for crawiling ... 20 miles was it?
and House really was a cheerleader in college? Hee! Hee! I suppose if he really "didn't get any" back in high school as he claimed back in "Detox," he must have been really desperate.
I like Taub too, and I liked his take on marriage, that it's not about the storybook, so I hope it works out, whatever he says. But that's the thing about House ... he confronts you with your failings, forces you to look at them and then challenges you to do something about them.
I can't pinpoint exactly what I liked about this episode, but I was grinning through a big chunk of it. Obviously I wish Wilson had come up for discussion at some point, but obviously we're getting more of that coming up -- though I do think that at this point House is trying to distract himself from thinking about Wilson by poking at every nook and cranny of the team that Lucas can dig up (and Cuddy, though not so much luck there). Too bad for Taub that House needs that distraction at this point.
I was afraid for a while that we'd get a repeat of "Detox" with the toxin being in the fat cells and being released as he loses weight, so I'm glad it was something else, and it was worth it just to have Chase's exasperation of wondering if he's supposed to guess what and where House wants the surgery, along with the classic "that's why I tell Cameron she can't have a cat."

But I love RSL - can't House have 2 friends? :)
And I guess this is old news, but I just realized the actor playing the PI is the son of John Rubenstein who played the cheating transplant surgeon in The Mistake.
