Are House and the PI living together now or something? Why is he always at House's home?
The first time, he was snooping in House's closet to find something humiliating to give Cuddy. The second time, he was just there to hang out. They appear to be legitimate friends now.

Depending on what your definition of legitimate is. PI is still being paid and he was at House's apartment to let him know Cuddy's reaction to the photo and whether he got any embarrassing info on Cuddy for House. i.e. working.

Yes, but PIs don't generally hang out, drink beer, and play music with people they consider ONLY their clients.
I'm not saying they're going to be lifelong friends and that Lucas will "replace" Wilson... I'm saying that right now, House and Lucas appear to enjoy each other's company, the way friends do.

Really? How many PIs do you hang out with? I thought that was all they did.

(I've dated that guy and they're not charming, folks, they're creepy)
I have no doubt that someone like Lucas would be creepy in real life, but then again, someone like House would never be employed in real life. One must keep perspective when it comes to this show -- everyone's insane in their own little way. But, of course, YMMV. You're more than welcome to find the PI creepy.
I rarely have trouble suspending my disbelief on this show. And yet I really hoped Cuddy had some pepper spray in her bag. Or perhaps a sharp implement. And I've never dated that guy. (The dude is not even that weird. I feel like I need to speak with Shirley MacLaine about this.)
But yes, I thought Cuddy assumed right away that the photo was doctored and the story of House being a cheerleader was fake, and House was just using the PI to mess with her. Although she didn't play back by concocting any outrageous stories of her own.

Maybe I am a PI.

Yeah and I was a cheerleader.
Didn't you notice me sitting on House's shoulders
travlncarrie- 09-30-2008
Oh I have to go back and read through all five pages.
House a cheerleader? I just died. Seriously.
Kutner...crawled 20 miles...love him even more.
Taub...okay, if he tells his wife, he has no reason not to return to plastic surgery. Not that I'm trying to get rid of him, but honestly, I think he'd be happier there.
13...what the heck is it with her introducing House to all his patients? And WHY is he visiting all his patients like he wants to?
arizonamyrie- 09-30-2008
How do we know that Cuddy didn't hire the PI in return?
NightOwl- 09-30-2008
Yeah and I was a cheerleader.

Oh, was his cheerleader-ploy successful then? Did he get you to go out with him? :D

You're the PI, you tell me. (okay having too much fun now.)
House a cheerleader? I just died.
You know what the worst thing about that is. Our current president was a cheerleader at Yale. :P
Hail the Random- 09-30-2008
This was boring. I can think of no other word. I spent the entire episode trying to figure out where I knew the PotW from and didn't pay attention to any actual plot.
Also, Kutner is my hero.

Yeah, but HL was totally cuter.
So does that mean House was not quite as jaded at one point? Non-misantrhopic even? Hard to believe in such things.

I wasn't aware I needed permission, thank you for that.
Sorry. Stupid comment. Mea culpa, mea culpa.
Taub...okay, if he tells his wife, he has no reason not to return to plastic surgery. Not that I'm trying to get rid of him, but honestly, I think he'd be happier there.
You're probably right, but of course he'll never leave.
Okay... question: If Taub hadn't told his wife about the affair before, then what the hell was his little speech in NMMNG all about? You know, the one where he talked about if you tell the person you love that you strayed, and they're okay with it, then that means they've strayed too, and that sucks worse? I had assumed that at the time to mean that he'd told her and now thought that she was having an affair. But was it actually him projecting his fears about confessing in case something like that did happen?
Boffle- 09-30-2008
That's hardly the worst thing about our current president. IMHO.
Wondered if they added the Guinness reference because of the recent listing of House as most popular show in the GB of WR.
It was a weird photo. I guess it would have been too meta to show House rowing. Yes, it would have, but I love those photos of HL from those days. And this photo was not great to my eyes.
Enjoyed the blues at the end, wished they'd let it play out a little more, they hadn't quite meshed.
The PI seemed creepy to me, not quite in a Houseian way but sort of. I liked it, but right now I'm not elated. Didn't miss Wilson or Cameron, liked the Chase comment and yes, the bezoar made me think of Harry Potter. Loved the drug names, really adored them. I wish House was about a half-hour longer or the full hour with no commercials. It just feels like the scenes don't quite get fully done.
